The Lateral Entry course at Harsha Institute of Pharmacy enables candidates with a three-year diploma or an equivalent degree to get admitted directly to 2nd Year (3rd semester) of the B.Pharm program.

The curriculum from semester three onwards mirrors the full B.Pharm track — combining core pharmaceutical sciences with a significant industrial exposure component, and preparing you for the same career outcomes as the four-year programme.

How Lateral Entry Works

  1. Complete a 3-year Diploma

    Finish a three-year diploma in pharmacy (D.Pharm) or an equivalent qualification.

  2. Apply to HIP

    Submit your admission application with your diploma marksheets and certificates.

  3. Join 3rd Semester Directly

    Skip the first year and start B.Pharm in the 2nd year (3rd semester).

  4. Graduate in 3 Years

    Complete the remaining three years — including a six-month industrial training — to earn your B.Pharm degree.

Duration

A three-year diploma or equivalent degree is required to join the B.Pharm programme directly in the 2nd Year (3rd semester).

Eligibility

XII with a minimum aggregate of 50% (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Maths as compulsory subjects) plus a 3-year diploma. Personal interview.
